This is a miracle - I managed to get this  issue done for the first of week of the month. The weather has not been conducive to doing much of anything else except sitting in front of the fire at my computer. My garden is not a pleasant place to be, so there it is, in my face every time I look out the window. Weeds staring me in the face, piles of the weeds I managed to pull out before the onset of this weather but never got round to putting it in the compost heap. All the herbaceous perennials that still haven't been divided and replanted, the bark pathways waterlogged and in some places the bark sits at one end of the path where it has been washed by the rain. Guess maybe now that the Newsletter is done the next best thing is to put my nose into a good book and not look out the window. Maybe I shall have to rearrange the couch so that it faces into the room, or better still, buy some curtains that I can pull across. Then again why shouldn't I just relax and enjoy this "time off". The time will come soon enough when I have to work out "there" again.
